300 prc 205 elite hunter

Anyone have a good load for a 300 prc shooting 205 berger elite hunters, rebarreling my smoked 28 nosler to some thing with a little more barrel life , 26 inch 1-10 twist , any info greatly appreciated, was hoping to tickle 3000 fps and have good accuracy.

I used 75gr of H1000 w/215M in a cheapie Bergara Ridge 300 PRC with 24" barrel. Got a consistent .75 MOA with this combo at approx. 2800.

I shoot 208 Berger HTs in my 300 PRC using H4831sc. For the Berger 205 Elite Hunter, the max allowable pressure occurs with 79.6 gr of H4831 according to Gordon's Reloading Tool. (GRT does not have an entry for H4831sc.) This yields a velocity of 2978 fps in a 26 inch barrel. As you move down in charge weight, 76.5 is the lowest charge that keeps burnout inside the barrel. This yields a velocity of 2857 fps. At charge weights below 76.5, you are blowing unburned powder out of the muzzle. When you vary the seating depth, these numbers are nudged up and down. Be very careful with your seating depth when you approach the higher end of the charge weights.
