300 Norma vs 300 PRC - Military?

Listing to the Hornady podcast, they indicated that the 300 PRC had been selected by the military for long range sniping. It was my understanding the 300 Norma had been selected as part of the MRAD sniper rifle system.

Can someone explain what happened?

I thought I understood that SOCOM chose the 300/338 NM for their sniper outfit. Last year I heard that the DOD chose the 300PRC for a sniper outfit as well. I know the DOD funds military weapons so I don't completely understand this either. I heard also last year that Barrett got the military contract and we're supplying the 300PRC in that contract. Kind of confusing

If we are sending soldiers to fight for us, the least we can do is spend money for the best rifle they can get. If the Seals like the 6ARC for their missions, we should buy them uppers for those missions.
I have no problem getting the weapons they need however they're ( the pencil, pushers) acting like Amilda Marcos with her shoes, make up you mind!

Supply logistics are not an issue now because we haven't been in the shit like WWll for nearly 5 decades but we need to remember how useful standardization is when you need to scavenge for supplies.
