300 Norma magnum data

Hi all

I'm after load data for the 300 (not 308) Norma magnum.

Norma could only give me one load for the 240 gr SMK with MRP-2 powder.

What bullet weights are you intending on shooting? I have had really good results with Boron Nitrided 208 AMAX's, Fed 215M, & 88.0grs of Retumbo. This worked in my rifle, please start lower & work your load up. Sorry but I had to say that. You can also use Ramshot Magnum & H1000 to work up some loads.

215 & 230 grain Bergers.

Given the case capacity Retumbo is a good choice - I think it's AR2225, made here in Oz by ADI and certainly easier to get than MRP-2.

There is no published data for the 300 Norma Magnum - I own the Sierra manual and several others and they have plenty of data for the 308 Norma Magnum, but not the 300 Norma Magnum.

It's like a Lapua Magnum but 2.5" long.
