300-600 yard f class scope question

Yeah I was going to buy a 20 moa base with my scope. Any brand Base/ring I should look for or better yet any brand it should stay away from? I always buy luepold but didn't know what guys liked. Great tip on the thick reticle at 600yrds that is something I would have never of thought of before buying a scope. Oh and yes I reload using the Berger 100gr. Match bullets. I don't know how you feel about Berger but I have had great luck with them at 200yrds.

I would put Leupold rings and base(s) at the bottom of the list of contenders. I think there is much better stuff, made more precisely, and costs less. I recommend Burris Signature Zee rings (Google 'em) on a tapered base. EGW makes a very reasonably-priced aluminum base. (Google 'em!)

Way to go Mac, balls enough to to say he ran a Barska for a while, mine had the mil-dot but it tracked used it for a year on a Savage PTA 6br until I could afford better, key word afford. So Fozybear I compete in club matches 1,000yd varmint benchrest not even close to F-class precision but the connection is our background was the same. 3 years ago I show up at this club with a 25-06 Savage that was a do all for 16 years loaded with 115gr Berger VLD target, a different trigger, old Jap glass BSA 8-32x x44 with Burris Signature rings to get the 20 moa, a Barska spotting scope, and sand bags.... Clampett's go to Ridgway! The gun shot well and I was real lucky that first year. The point is people see you struggling and the majority want to help you because man you need it, and it will be welcomed. Go and shoot it and learn from the others with the same obsession, its fun and you won't regret it!
