30 BR XP100 twist question

Gonna build an XP100 in 30BR. It will use a Lilja 15 inch barrel. Will be used for hunting and plan on using 125 to 135 grain bullets. With that in mind, what twist should I go for?

When I built mine, I went with a 1-11" twist rate switch barrel, with both barrels having the same twist.

I shoot Speer's 125 gr. TNT and 130 gr. Hollow Point in one barrel and Hornady's 155 gr. A-MAX bullet in the other.

The Speer bullets have killed deer out to a little over 200 yards and to over 400 yards with the Hornady bullet.

If the heaviest bullet you are shooting is 135 I would go with a 1:15 twist. That will shoot 125 and 135's just fine.

I'll second Hoodoo's post but if you ever entertain anything heavier than 130g. I'd go with a 12 twist. I've built several XP's and the 15 inch barrels require a faster twist.
