Just wondering if anybody is shooting their 30 BR's with lets say Hornady V Max or Nosler Varmageddon 110 grain bullets at long range ? Considering the long non tapered shanks on these bullets might restrict powder space makes me wonder if they will work. Thanks !

I shoot my 30 BR with 110 vmax out to about 300 effectively. AFter that, there are much better selections. great to fireform brass though.

Have not shot the bullets you mentioned, but Speer 125 TNT has a good reputation for accuracy and performance on varmints.
No, they don't restrict powder capacity. They are short sqwat bullet's. It's the freebore that would make the difference. I have a .000 freebore and a .060."freebore, more freebore = more case capacity. Yes they kick ass out to 300.

I shoot 110Vmax, 1-17tw Krieger, suppressed. hits very hard, and with pinpoint accuracy! clearly, you can drive the 110 harder with a 308, but really the 30BR is just as good. a hog isn't going to file a complaint that it was shot with a 110vmax at 3000 instead of 3300 fps.
