30 BR die questions.

I hate to sound stupid but, A few months ago I bought a 30 BR and along with it came a Redding Type "S" bushing neck die, and a Redding FL die. The gun has a .330 neck. When I am seating bullets it is a little more difficult to start the bullet in the case than in my other cases for other guns.
Here are the questions. There is a neck expander button in the FL die, but not in the neck die...... Why? Should it have one? Would there be a reason that the original owner took it out? Does it hurt anything to put it in there?

Sound to me that you need to bump your shoulder back. Your full length die needs to be turned a little deeper into the press. After you resize it, try the brass in the rifle. If it still loads tight, turn the resize die a little deeper into the press until the brass just seats.
I took my neck button off of my dies that I neck size only. Takeout the pin or the decapping rod but you need to put the round nut back into the die on top of the sizing collet. When you put neck tension on the brass with the neck collet and pull the handle back up, it takes the brass thru the expander and opens up what you just reduced. Makes no sense to me, but I removed my pins out of my FL dies when I neck size and put them back in when I need to deprime the brass.
Hope this helps.

Bobinpa...If you are getting some resistance while seating during reloading, then it is probably an issue with the neck bushing, too small)...What is the neck wall thickness on your brass?
Try a neck bushing that is .001 larger..Also chamfer your case mouths a little more...You do NOT want to use an expander button with a sizer die for best accuracy..
