Hi I need to bump my 30br brass as the bolt is getting hard to close, can't find a die yet so how can I bump them ?

thanks Paul

Sinclair sells 30BR full length dies, or you could just use a 6BR body die. You may need to drill or ream the hole in the top of the die for neck clearance, but that shouldn't be too big of a deal.

6BR body die $26 and in stock

Midway has em. Buy it, set it correctly and use it everyfiring.

Or you can send Harrels three fired cases and $70; you will have a F/L bushing die in a week. No tax, no postage.

Thanks for all the help i have a 6br die but think I will by a 30br die, is it a small body die Kenny and what make is it please.

had a look at the links and will order one, the price of the 6br die looks the way to go.
thanks to you all just love this site :)

Are you prepared to drill out a hardened steel die?

Personally I'd just spend the extra bucks.
I once tried to drill out a 204R FL die that I had no desire to use as is.
Wanted to make a body die out of it.
Sure burned out the bit I used fast.
Could be that bit was a piece of junk but drilling hardened steel is never fun for most home shops.
I ended up buying a Redding S series FL die for that caliber.

I'm not a metal worker by any stretch of the imagination.

Buy the 30BR die. If you get the 6BR die, you will also have to get a c5 carbide boring bar and bore the die out in a lathe. The die is hard enough to eat most of your steel drill bits for lunch.

I was thinking of getting my riflesmith to do the boring out, he made my 284 dies and bored out the redding F,L,sizer, you are right the steel was very hard, I will just go by one 30br die now

P.S. I use the 30br with 130g barns x on smallish deer and fox ( its very very good )
Regards H

The simple idea is to buy a harrels or a redding FL size die. I would personally sell all your other 30br dies to buy the Fl sizer. I see no need for anything other than a FL size die, but thats just me!! Lee
