You've been banned on every shooting related site I know of for this kinda stuff. You just change your name and lay low for a while but you're getting right back to the same old same old stuff. I've even tried to help you on multiple occasions but you have been rude to me and others at pretty much every turn. It's not my call to ban you but I'm gonna tell you up front that I'm done with it and I'm reporting who you are on here so you can be banned again. Just wanted you to know upfront.

I totally agree with Mike and most of the rest of you. I don’t think that UBR affords a handicap. It simply takes the advantage (handicap) away from those shooting a .30 cal.

I do think that @762plinker has a good point- he has a right to his opinion, even if it may be wrong or comparatively uninformed.

I looked back, and really did not see where he has attacked anyone personally or has been demeaning to any person in this post. Did I miss something? I get it, he has been such an a-hole in previous iterations to where he is generally disliked. But, it takes all kinds.

To the OP, if your goal is to compete with the guys you are shooting with and they are seasoned shooters, it is not by coincidence that they chose and are winning with a 30br. I bet they could shoot a 6ppc if they chose to.

If I were you, I would go with a 30br. That way, if you are not competitive, you will know it is not the caliber holding you back.

Or, go with a 6ppc and you have a built in excuse if you are not competitive.

Either caliber will work. A good shooter will have the gun tuned, read the wind and beat you with either.

I tried to find it with the search function but had no luck. Perhaps jimmymac or someone could verify if I remember correctly. It jumped out at me because I would have guessed 30.

In the earlier days, when the bigger hole meant something, there were some other factors in play. First, guys were not shooting quite as well as today. Second VFS wasn't really a thing yet. Third, guys who were shooting a 30 were usually shooting a 308. That was a handicap! Most score matches were Hunter Class.
I have shot in competitions where the edge of the bullet hole scored, where the center of the hole scored, and where a plug was used so that every shot, regardless of caliber scored the same. Ultimately, rules are rules. If you don't like them, don't shoot. I, for instance, will not shoot F/TR because I don't like the bipod requirement. So, I switched to shooting with a sling and like it better anyway.
I shoot Silhouette, where we are classified. It's a good thing we are, or I would never win anything! As it is, I have probably risen as far as I can and am now seeing skills erode due to age (that sux!). We should all be happy we have the options we do and can all find a venue we like. WH

The only thing it handicaps is any advantage you would have shooting a large caliber.

One of the things I like about accurateshooter is the sense of community where there is a real spirit and attitude to help others or ask questions and get answers. Too many forums digress into non sense and it detracts in so many ways. Kudos to Forum Boss for being on top of it.

Yes. He had been banned under different names here and elsewhere for the same stuff. He had created a fake email with a VPN as well and a fake paypal account associated with it that he paid his silver membership with on here. He had done a good job of covering his tracks, to the point the boss was skeptical until he saw proof of him being fake. Makes ya feel all warm and fuzzy knowing there are people out there doing this that might want to buy or sell something in the classifieds here. With friends like that, I don't think we can stand enemies.
