There are not a lot of guy's shooting Lilja barrels in SR score. Not the guy's that I have shot against. I can name only 3 guys all from Georgia that use Lilja Barrels exclusively. The first SR 30BR score rifle that I ever owned came with a 17 TW Rock Creek 5 groove and a Lilja 3 groove 17TW. and the RC shot better than the Lilja. But you have to remember one thing. I had a brand new Krieger that I put on that same rifle in 2017 to replace the other 2 and that was mediocre from the start shooting 2 18X matches and one 17X match. I changed bullets and the first match was a 4th place finish getting creedmored by Lee Euber with a 22X. Second match I won the 100 yard portion of the Score Nationals with a 24X creedmoring the guy who sold me the rifle that I beat him with. I won most of the wood that I have accumulated with that barrel at 100 yards and meters because I only shoot a 30BR at that yardage. I don't shoot that round at 2 or 300. I shot that barrel up until last year and not once did that barrel ever drop a point at 100 yards or meters. So just by changing bullets that barrel just woke up. I'm lucky because I have tens of thousands of 30 caliber match bullets to experiment with from all different makers and all different weights. I have a half dozen 18TW barrels mostly Hart's and Kriegers and they shoot ok but they are more temperamental when it's colder outside. IMO if you live in a warm climate all year round it's a coin toss between a 17 and 18. If you live in a climate like where I live stick with a 17 Twist. How about 3 groove? Are they common?
