30 BOO BOO

Greetings from Down Under.

I am wondering what velocities can be expected using 190gn Bergers VLD's and 210gn Berger VLD's from the 30 cal Boo Boo.
I have a 32 7/8 inch Krieger barrel fitted to a Barnard dual port Model P action.
I have H1000 and Retumbo powder and various magnum and standard primers.

I shoot with a guy who loads the 190 VLDs to about 3100fps. I am not sure what his barrel length is.

The data for the 300 Win Mag plugs in pretty well. I know that David Tooley shoots a lot of RL-22 in the 30 B00 so that means MRP will work as well. This is also the chambering (for all intents) used by Regan Green in his record setting heavy gun.

I was striving for velocities over 3100fps.

Also does any one know how many rounds my barrel will be good for ?

hey just look up Tollly's number from this sites home page under the gunsmiths section.if I am not wrong he is the one who made the 30 BOBO.so he should know all that you want to know.but I could be wrong.
