30-30 Rifle Scope?

I am looking for a scope for a new 30-30 I bought. I have several tactical LPVOs I could pull off of an AR, but I am a traditionalist with the 30-30. Seeing marked turrets is odd, but maybe I need to get over it. I was looking at a 2-7x32mm scope. It is a SIG Whiskey 3 (just don't see the reason to break the bank). There are 2 reticles. The BDC and the standard quadraplex with no hash marks. I am thinking the latter. Or, could just go with a standard 3-9x40mm. Thoughts?

I like the scope above for the application you have. Doesn’t break the bank, relatively small in size, good field of view, and a reticle that works quite well.

I like the 2-7 duplex on short range hunting rifles/muzzleloaders. 3-9 probably cheaper and more choices.

And mount it as low as possible

I remember my Winchester 30-30, my first “deer rifle” back in the late 70s. I put a side mount on it with a Bushnell scope. A scope that today, I wouldn’t put on a BB gun. But I could “keep em all” on a paper plate at 100 and it accounted for my first two bucks.
Good memories hunting with that old lever action.
Today, if I was doing it, I would get a decent mid grade Burris or similar in a 2-7 or 3-9 and have fun with it.

I personally like straight tubed scopes on lever actions. The Leupold Freedom 1.5-4 w/PigPlex worked well on my coyote hunting 1894 in 218 Bee. Inside 300 yards Leupold 1-4s in it's various forms are on my combo guns and my 25-204 wears a Leupold VX-3 1.5-5x20. I have Bushnell 4500's 1-4's on a couple of bolt actions for calling coyotes but they have 30mm tubes and would look top heave on a leaver action.

Weaver Classic K Series 4X38mm scope. Made in Japan and virtually indestructible. Simple duplex reticle. No longer made but they turn up on gunsites and eBay fairly frequently.

Always used a 4x fixed on my .30-30, took a lot of deer over the years, and never missed a shot. It was more than adequate for the cartridge's capabilities.

I have a period correct, Redfield Widefield in 2x - 7x, on both my Marlin 30-30's.

I’m run an old glossy Weaver K4 that I picked up in the classified section on my 68 Marlin 336 30-30.
