Yup! 3031 is THE powder for the 30-30, but I’m sitting on a lot of H335. When I saw it listed, I tried it and it shot well.I’ve shot a fair number of Berry’s equivalent, and my Marlin seems to like them just fine. I’ve loaded them with unique and 2400 for plinking loads, and have read that the plated bullet recommendation is to use the starting loads for normal jacketed load data or towards the higher end of cast load data.
Looking at my notes, the last load I used was a few grains under the hodgdon data starting load for imr 3031 to try to stay under 2000fps as Berry’s recommends. I got pretty good accuracy and the reduced recoil was nice. I did find out that load will not knock over rams reliably for metallic silhouette at 200 yards, fyi.
