30-06 page dissapointment.

Its been two years since the rumor and promise of a page dedicated to the 30-06, as of yet....nothing delivered. It is a sad, sad statement about this site that is so prejudiced to a cartridge because of its advanced age. As of this moment I will boycot this site for a period of one whole hour. Do not expect to see me or hear from me again until such time has past.

I offered to do the same for the 220 and 6 Beggs with Gene's assistance and approval. Also offered to write an article on it. Silence was deafening. Rejection still smarts. Like asking a pretty girl for a date and her not even deigning to say No.

Yes there is information available but I was promised a 30-06 page which puts it into a very nice to read, access and use format. More like a pretty girl showing you her legg up to her garter, giving you a come hither smile and then leaving your place empty and cold.

Demand a 30-06 page, show your displeasure Light a fire under German Salzar or the head moderator. This fine old cartridge deserves the respect of a good writer who has an affection for the cartridge.

LOL!!! It's part of the whole new "bigger is better" movement. Almost magnumitis but not quite, basically a perfectly good .270 necked up to .30.

Good sir I believe you are refering to the wildcat knows as 6.8-06 LRT ( long range tactical) The 30-06 is its parent case and one should always respect their parent, even says so in the good book. The 30-06 is not really capable of being placed in magnum status but just the 308 done right for hunting.

Trust me, this site is a one man operation, with limited resources, both time and money, and it PAYS taxes, and receives no government subsidy. Have you ever counted the number of pages of first rate content are on it?

Of course I have, its a first rate operation all the way, just lacking an 06 page. As far as 6mmbr.com goes, I have learned much from this fine site and its contributors.

oh contraire, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes. The -06 was simply the next replacement after the -03, (which you may note was only 3 yrs in service at that time) and really all they did was poke a lighter pointy bullet in basically the same case, and it was in response to what the Europeans were doing, not some brilliant design work.
