#3 for the Season(Graphic)

Shot this one Saturday at our Cabin in Huntingdon County, PA. I had mounds to 440 yards at this position along with a comfortable picnic table for my hide and she comes out at 155 yards! If you look at the photo of me right by my brow you will see a Telephone pole lying on the ground that she was sunning herself on.
I was shooting my 14tw .243 AI with the Sierra 70 grain Blitzking in front of Varget(Yes I have some! ???) in a Lapua case and ignited by a CCI BR-2 primer. I could hear the hit but must admit it wasn't long after the muzzle blast!
The graphic photo is the second one and I must admit that killing one of the few things uglier than myself might not be wise! :

Grrrrrrrreat!

Can see a little bit of leaves calling out "Spring" in that area. Heard it was horrible rain today but you got the hunt in before.

Sure like to see those "hog" kills.

my pigs are out also! 311 yds out, this little pipsqueek would not go away! waited for daddy but no show. ok, he asked for it. 22 BR, 64 bergers, n540 and the sightron put the 1/8 min dot on it's tiney little chest and...BAM-SPLAT DRT! daddy's still a no show, so i drive over to see if junior is in one piece of twelve. look to the right ( i do this while driving and know it's not safe, but ghog hunters all do this...right) and whoa nelly! a big red pig grazing at 286 yds and he is ignoring me! the nerve! his mistake as the next 64 berger had his name on it. 9 pounds and 14 oz!!!! a large ghog this early. did check on junior and he plumpted in at 1# 2 oz...fully developed, so i suspect he is the new crop. i know where his daddy lives, so i'll pay a visit today.

I have a ground hog in my backyard and my girlfriend would probably post a pic of me like the op did of his first hog.So for now he gets to live along with a host of cotton tail rabbits.

Flippin' Monster! Well done. I was surprised that the 3 I've shot all had very nice coats for this early also.
