Thats crazy. I hunt PDs in wind and extreme dust. In a 3 day trip its 100% going to get hit by a dust devil. I have literally camped over 1k days in my life and thousands more day trips. Nowhere as dusty and miserable as where I hunt PDs. Some stuff I have learned....
Use sunblock only if you really need to. Instead, wear long sleeves, long pants, neck gator and sun gloves no matter how hot. Im a ginger. I only put sunblock on my face and neck and cover up. Use coppertone sport sunblock. Walmart has the store brand just as good half the price. Some sunblocks, especially spray on, will make your eyes burn soooo bad all day. Always wear sunglasses. Do all shooting with your prescription sunglasses if you wear a prescription. Make sure to carefully focus the reticle and also adjust the binos for your eyes. Cheap glass is miserable to look through all day. Keep eyewash in the truck for emergencies. Had a dust devil hit me once and OMG I'll never go without emergency eyewash kit again!
