1 tag per hunter, excess tags are gone in a matter of hours. Ask me how I know.
Some units have more tags than hunters.
For instance, I went to Tioga unit with my brother for 1st season bull, but wasnt able to purchase a tag for my wife to hunt second season, even though they never sell all the tags for that unit 1st or second season
Go to ODFW website for more info.
Other thing about Oregon coast is a lot of the land leased up by Wayrhauser timber, contact them for a permit to access. Also a draw through them but you need to know what unit your hunting as to what area your asking for access to get a gate key that's limited to only some of the gates.
Now as for our tags this year .
Point of sale locations are down,as ODFW quit printing our licenses and tags.
If you havent downloaded the app, DON'T!!!!!
Unless you like to be tracked by GPS.
You can print your license and tags out on your computer on regular ol printer paper,
as now I can copy my copy.
Smart f♡{|\¡n move ODFW!!
Hopefully I answered some of your questions with out showing to much disdain toward our fish and game management.
Somthing about the app.
Say your floating down the river and you catch a hatchery salmon or steelhead.
To tag it you have to log on take a picture of your catch, when you mark your digital tag.
Also giving up your location.
As for hunting not all areas have cell reception, so how our new system is going to work is beyond me.
Heres a killer shot in Tioga unit. One of a few places we had reception.
