284W Norma or necked up Lapua?

Hi all, I've got a 284 Shehane br lg build going, and also a 6 Dasher. I'm currently shooting a 6br w Lapua brass and I'm a BIG fan of this brass. Just wandering if I should go with the new 284W Norma brass or just neck up Lapua? Also considering the new Norma Dasher brass when it's available. This is supposed to be ultra premium brass by Norma,as per Shiraz's specs. Anyone using or know anything about the new 284 brass? Thanks in advance, Barry.

Depends if you are planning on neck turning ? 100% doughnuts without turning , which I have found out.
If I could of got my hands on the 284 norma brass I would of went that route.

Smith ordered reamer for no turn w Lapua and throated to keep of 180 hybrid just in front of doughnut. Don't know the neck thickness for norma, I don't mind if I have to turn.

I did a search, which I should have done in the first place, and the info I was after is on here in some older threads. I didn't realize the brass has been available for a while. I think I'm going to give it a try. Will turn necks for .005 clearance with my chamber. Thx,Barry

Yes, you'll have to turn the Norma. My chamber neck dim. is .317 and I have to turn down to a measured thickness of .014 to get a loaded round with .312" O.D.
