284 Winchester laid

I have a 284 Winchester I’ve been shooting in F Class with a 30 inch Kriger barrel 47.5 gr RE 17 with Sierra 180 MKs but would like to try Berger 190gr Hybrid Target bullets. Theirs not much information about this bullet and load data does anyone have any information on a load for this and which velocity node works best.
Thanks
Dave

This output came from using the search feature (top right) with the query "Berger 190 Hybrid":

I picked out a few from the first page that seemed most pertinent to load development:

Would you be shooting midrange or long range? I tried them and I talked to a lot of other guys that did as well.

I have seen them shoot very well at 600. At 1,000, I don’t know that guys have found them to work as well as other Berger bullets. The ones I’m aware of switched back to whatever they had been using after giving these an earnest try.

Not suggesting that you skip them at all, though. If you shoot RL 17 in a .284 you’re definitely willing to experiment. Many Reloader powders remain scarce and I’m tending to move away from them over scarcity and their new position as the highest price powders on the shelves.

The Sierra 180 is also great at 600 but tougher at a 1,000 in a .284. If one was required to shoot through any and all conditions on timed shots, such as in a pair fire match, the 195 is hard to beat.

If the shooter could wait for high confidence conditions, then the hard to find 180 Hybrid, tipped, seems to put up their highest scores, though I would venture to say few of them have shot a tipped 195, to draw a comparison to.

Personally, I tried the Berger 190gr LRHT and the 180gr Berger LRHT, the 180’s were far more consistent out of the box and definitely showed on the target at 1000 yards. I shoot the 180gr Berger LRHT with between 49.7-50.4gr of H4350.

That is a wicked awesome accurate load. Won 5 of 7 competitions shooting that .284 this year.
