284 Win case trim lenght?

Can someone give me the min and max case lenght for the 284 win. I'm using Lapua brass necked up, and wanting to trim the brass to the same lenght, but not sure what the min is..

2.150 inches works for me. Alan Warner says 2.145 but I have not had to go that short.

What is your chamber cut for ?? I trim my cases 0.010 less than chamber length,take time to measure the chamber length,not hard to do.

Hey Jim,

I trim to 2.150 and have not had any issues. If your reamer is similar to mine and Ken's (which are identical), you should be g-t-g with it that.

Thanks guys...Mark..it is your reamer exact..and Erik,,you don't have to trim...with all that powder that you use, it just burns to end of the case off every firing!!! ;D Great string you shot at 1000 Sunday...that was some good shooting!!! BTW, I think I've found my vertical issue..Dickerman gave me a few rounds of his brass before I left Sunday...Got home and started looking it over compared to mine....I took a turning mandel and slid it down his case neck nice, tight and smooth....Tried mine, and I discovered that about 7-8 out of every 10 cases that I have have big old donuts!!! Not sure how I got them....I thinking that they found do to my bumping the shoulders back to often, too far...So Erik, check for donuts in the brass that you got from me...I cutting them out tomorrow, and report results...

Thanks Jim, I wish I would have used that rest all weekend long, I would have been sitting pretty in the top three as I was only three points behind third place!... Live and learn! ;D

Actually, I re-turned the brass I got from you. And now that you mention it, my cutter did cut alot towards the neck shoulder junction! You may have found the problem!
