284 slow node

I am getting started with a 284, 180gr class bullet. After reading past threads it seems like there is usually a node that people end up with around 2825.

Is there a lower node that people are using also in the 2700 fps neighborhood?

Just do a full work up and see what your barrel likes. Start low and work your way up as high a you want to
go before pressure.....ther's some in 2770 range but youl need to see your barrels preference.

I’m going to try out the SMK 183, Berg 180, & Berg 184.

183gr, 30" Brux, Enduron 4451 (no longer available) my two nodes
were 2785 and 2830. These were single feed with a .006 jam. I had
a lower node at 2715 with Reloder 16. Did not pursue that load as
Reloder 16 went scarce.

I'm running 49.5 RL16 with BR2's and 180 Hybrids out of a 27" for 2770-2780 depending on the weather. Mild and consistently very accurate. Have a little N555 to try after the RL16 runs out.

Berger 184, Lapua brass, BR2’s w/ 56.1 gr VV165 @ 2815fps .014 in and shoots very well 30” finished Bartlein 5R.

32” 1:9 Kriegers “dotted up” at 2750 with 184 hybrids over either H4831sc or VV N160. Very wide node in my rifles.

The slow node most Aussies run with 180s is around 2730-2740fps - Straight 284s shoot very well at this speed.

Yes. Right around 50 grains of h4350.
