284 light gun for benchrest

Is anyone using a straight 284 in a light gun for long range benchrest?

I have one ready to go and will use this year if the wind gets moving more than I want for the 6BRAI

I found the .284 challenging to get to shoot sub 2" at 600 on a regular basis.

I used a 284 Shehane in 2013,2014 and 2015 in IBS 1000 yard . In 2015 I was shooter of the year using 180 VLD Hunting bullets. They work at benchrest but its up to the shooter. Good Luck "MISSISSIPPI"

1,000 yards is a different game. You can win group or score. At 600 they are combined to determine the winner.

Missippi is a great competitor. He could make an alley cat sing.

Went to a 300 WSM in 2016 for light gun and sat 10 match score record. Made the switch because my heavy gun was a 300 WSM and to keep from buying so many different bullets. Did not shoot in 2017 and 2018.
