.284 CBTO for .235 freebore

Southern shooter 59

I have to send a dummy round to my gunsmith to give him the measurement for the freebore I want for my .284 Winchester chamber. I have read on here that the best freebore is .235, so what is the CBTO measurement that you have touching the lands if your chamber has a .235" freebore?
Thanks for the information

I would just load the bullet I was going to use to the o.a.l. that puts the bullet where I want it in the neck in a dummy round and give that to your gunsmith.

Doing as Dan V suggests is the best route and will give you the surest results.

In my 0.235 freebore chambers, my COAL with 180s to 184s Hybrids is between 3.250 to 3.300. It depends on the bullet and the desired jump of course. What bullet are you planning to set up for?

Hornady 162 ELD-X. Hunting and target rifle. Long action. What is the Ogive to tip measurement on the 180 grain bullet?
