I just aquired a custom 280AI, the components I have for reloading are as follows:
Winchester large rifle primers
140gr accubonds
Some fire formed 280 remington brass
H4831SC powder
162gr A-Max bullets
I have only shot the gun a couple of times, I would really like to shoot the 162's but am not impressed with the data shown for H4831SC. I don't want to use RE22 powder. I want to stay with a temp stable powder because the weather here in Idaho can go from 65 degree's to below freezing with a foot of snow on the ground. I have tried magpro on other guns with not much luck. Anyone have any ideas, data they would like to share, I am getting down to the wire as for deer season only being a month away. I do know that my 280AI does not like federal 215 primers, I tried some as I have like 4000 left, was sure hoping they would work but they don't so now I need to find someone who need some and make a deal of some sorts. Thanks for any help guys
