280AI load data needed

I'm not sure about the exact load but if you can get your hands on some RL26 that's the powder I would start with.

I just went through the same problem, here's what happened in my rifle. I used:

1 in 7 twist 24" Krieger barrel, min saami chamber length by my gunsmith. New.
280 Norma brass, new. Nice, slight crush fit.
183 SMK with HBN coating, 3.60" for .020" jump.
RL26 56.0 grains
Magnetospeed at 2590fps --80 degrees and humid
formed cases with no apparent flaws, slightly rounded shoulders.
Accuracy was good, probably .5 MOA vertical at 600yds.

I annealed them and FL resized .002" then:

183 SMK with HBN coating
RL26 60.6 grains, 3.60" for .020" jump.
Magnetospeed at 2890fps --80 degrees and humid
slight vertical at 600 yds, but 4"-5" steel targets were easy hits. Cases now have sharp shoulders.
Primers just starting to flatten, but no craters or noticeable bolt lift. Fired brass chambers easy without sizing.
Will probably drop back to 60.0grains and see what happens to vertical.

I hope this helps.

Ok, I have h1000, I will start with that. Start load 58gr and work up? Going to be loaded to mag length to start out with.

I'm at 59.9gr of H1000 and the Berger 180 Hybrids in my 280AI. 2820fps from a 25.5" barrel. Not too hot, Rem brass has lasted a dozen firings.

I just did a ladder test In my 280ai with a brux 8.5 twist at 600yrds had a good node from 57.6-58.2 of 4831sc 180 eld M. .008 off touch. Less that 1/4" vertical. Gonna load some more tommorrow and c How it groups.
