280 rem loads

i've got a new 280 remington with a kreiger 26-inch 9 twist barrel and i am looking for some starting point on load data. does anyone here reload for the 280, and if so are there any recommendations?

thanx in advance

Your twist is good for upwards of 160 grain bullets, but the best I have ever came up with is a 140 Ballistic Tip and H-4350... bring it up slow and easy, just be attentive to what going on pressure wise. When your bored with that, run a few 162 grain Amax's through it with the same powder..

braddc, have you chronographed that load? Suspect it is way slow. May not matter if you're just shooting paper.

I use 55 gr of H-4350 with a 140 sierra....so I too think the load is veryyyyy mild....for the 160 use aprox. 3-4 grains less....Roger
