Thats great George, I just ordered a barrel for my friend to build me a dasher with, looking forward to it. I have a 28 Nosler throated for the 195 Bergers, i was in Colorado this year , killed a deer at 300 yards with it, now worse meat damage then my 2300 wm or 7rem mag. Shoot no more damage than my 260rem for that matter, as long as you hit them right. Shot my cow elk at 700+ and it just dropped in its tracks , legs buckled, fell like a bowl of jelly. Devastated the in organs with minimal meat loss. Shot my 5x5 bull at 968 yards, same thing, turned 180deg. in his tracks tabled back and forth for about 2 seconds and hit the bricks. Same thing, internals were destroyed and normal meat loss like if shot with an 06. Granted all shots hit where i wanted, right behind the shoulder, I can see if you hit a an animal wrong you can do some serious damage, but so goes with a lot of other cartridges also. I cant say how much I love the 28, its pretty easy to load for,my gun was finished about 8 days before my hunt, well put together, still needs to be caracoled or beed blasted, and i finished load development 3 days before I left.
My friend just got in a on a ranch to cull wittily next year, I can see along withe the creedmoor the dasher will be going! LOL
