Hi all,
It appears after roughly 1300 rounds my 270 Bee barrel is in need of a replacement.
Just can’t get the accuracy back and the best it will do is 3” groups with a load it would previously get 3/4”.
So...I have 2 options; a 10” twist or a 9” twist.
I am going stainless again and the barrel is off a Win Model 70 EW sans flutes.
I do not know what twist to get, bullet options for the faster twist are scarce, so should I just stick with the 10” twist or bite the bullet and go 9” twist for ‘just in case’ the bullet options widen some more?
I mainly use this rifle for mountain hunting, shots can be long, but nothing past 700 or so so far in the last 20 years or so.
Just recently tried out the 150gr ABLR, hard to tell if it was worth it with the degrading accuracy.
What say you?
Cheers.
