I have a Gre Tan rig smithed for LR as a 6.5 WSM and deciding if I'll let it ride or do something else . . .

I use Norma 270wsm brass. It's a simple transition in the die. I still skim neck turn but usually only need less than a thousandth taken off to clean them up.

The very first batch of 6.5 WSM I made was using the Winchester Blue bag .270 WSM. In fact I still have some of those pieces left from that first chamber, perfectly shootable.

:)

If you took a poll, I'd say that many reloaders have a preference for the older Blue Bag by Winchester. This is no different from any of the changes put into affect by manufacturers. Folks have beliefs that one version is better than another.

The difference I have noticed with regard to bag color is that I find some flawed brass more frequently in the Red Bag Winchester brass.

If reloaders find this troublesome, then go the extra mile and buy the premium priced brass from the newer manufacturers.

:)

I would just like to find some new 270 wsm cases
Good day,

Me too! I have a choice between building a 6.5 WSM or a 6.5 PRC at this point, I'll probably go with the 6.5 PRC since I can at least by factory ammo for the cartridge. Pull the bullet, save the powder, remove the primer and match prep the cases. New primers and reload the powder/bullets and my Mexican match ammo is RTG.
