110g tipped tripple shocks do not stop in a deer from any direction that I have shot them in, quartering shots. I killed a goodly number of deer with the 110g Sierra Pro Hunter, so has the family.
Big bullet mentality does not apply to Barnes tipped tripple shocks, it is better to drop down a notch in bullet weight and get the speed, and there is absolutely no use in worrying about penetration. Speed gives a tremendous temporary wound cavity.
Our shots are not past 300, but the 110's trajectory makes you feel like you are shooting a 220 Swift.
