Just for shooters looking for load info with VV N165. I just got my new rifle thru
first steps in load development. Panda action, Krieger HV 29" barrel, expanded
Lapua 6.5 284 to 7mm 284, CCI 250 Mag primers.
- First load for fire forming, 53 Grains, three shots in one hole, repeatable,
darn, you can shoot matches while fire forming
- Final load, fire formed, 57 Grains, three shots in one hole, repeatable.
Powder was right at shoulder bump but no crushing.
It is an extremely clean powder, barrel cleaned up quick and NO copper which
I assume some Barrels are really good right out of the box, got lucky.
Shehane chambering was by Kelbly, the guys are the best!!!
All shots are at 200yds, next go round will be at 600 yds speed checked.
I will see what happens at an F-Class open match next month.
The rifle has a C Bernosky stock with a Graco spring decelerator and gooey pad,
it did shoot RSAUM but I gave up because it was shitty to tune and barrel life was crap.
Recoils less than a 308 and you can practically free recoil it, but watch your
nose to scope distance, I got BIT twice.
