262 or 268 ppc

i am shooting two .262 neck 6ppcs and I am wanting to buy my own reamer and have a couple new barrels made up. I also have new unturned brass for each new barrel. If I am gonna switch to a .268 neck it needs to be now before I turn my new brass and buy a reamer which I have no idea which one to buy so suggestions are welcome. What's the verdict on .262 vs .268 in the accuracy department, or is there any difference?

I have a 262 neck, another in 265 neck, and yet another in 268 neck. As much as I dislike the task of neck turning, day in and day out I seem to get the smallest groups out of the 262..... but then I think it's the best barrel of the 3 also.

I guess it comes down to how good are your neck turning skills? Because if you can't get them consistent, your chances of consistently shooting tight groups are diminished....JMHO.

It's difficult to answer in all certainty due to different barrels, powder in tune, seating depth, wind, shooter skills all are variable too. JME. FWIW. WD

Most ppc shooters say neck diameter has no effect on accuracy. I went to a .264 from a .262 and see no difference, I like more bullet grip so I should've went to a 268 but I'm happy with the. 264.

save your money on the reamer and just send bbls to Memphis and let Tim use the one he has,,it is .268 and perfect freebore for the bullets you are shooting.

I switched from.262 to .268 last year. I have seen no difference in accuracy and the necks are twice as easy and twice as fast to turn. You will have more consistent neck tension due to thicker brass. I totally agree that the Hendrickson reamers are the way to go. The bad part is the lead time to get one.

Maybe some others will chime in with more experience than me
I switched to a 268 NK this year not because of the ease of turning necks. I bought my 262 brass already turned.
There is more to this than just ease of making brass. The top shooting guys that went to a thicker neck are using a case slam full of powder and needed the extra grip to keep the powder from pushing their Bullets out. Causing them to go to the line with seating depths all over the place.
If you don't plan to run these really hot loads. One thickness is no better than the other IMO
