H414/Winchester 760 43 gr pushing Nosler 129 gr Partition. The velocity is right at 2800. Its more of a mild load to keep recoil to a minimum

Is that an Ackley Improved 260? Numbers seem a little low to me, but I can't tell barrel length from the pic.
It is, with about 6k rounds through it so I dont push it hard. At those numbers it shoots in the .2 and .3's as long as the nut behind the trigger does his job. I have a new barrel ready to go but until it goes considerably further south I won't change them out.

Mine liked 44.3 of H4350 with a 140 gr JLK
I have a node close to that in my notes as well but I dont shoot any further than about 1350 and the above load does that just fine so I just don't see a reason to hot rod it

The Redding Type S F/L Bushing die works well along with their Comp seater.

A body die and Lee collet neck die for standard 260 works well. I use Wilson seating dies.

Pretty much exactly what I'm doing , with the exception of using the Forster Micrometer seating die. Plus annealing/trimming every time.
*edit* I'll also add that since using the Lee Collett die, and my RCBS FL die with the stem removed, my run out is down to nearly .0005"-.001" on my loaded round.

Both of my 260AIs love the Berger 140 gr. VLDs with 44.5 gr. of H4350. M V is app. 2975 or a tad better.
Pretty close indeed but I push em harder as needed, as it is I can only shoot out to 1277 yds weekly and that gets the job done. The way I see it is there is no need to drive your truck full throttle to the gas station, but if you need the extra horsepower on demand its easy to accomplish...

I'll add a little update about my 260AI, I've now settled on the 153.5 Berger running slow around 2820 or so. Did manage to shoot a 593-25x this past weekend at 600 yards with that load.

29.75" barrel. Don't know the exact freebore, its lengthened separately from my reamer but puts the boat tail above neck shoulder junction at about -.008.

If looking to run 140 and up, class bullets a .140"-.150" freebore is a good option.
I wonder if the 140fb reamer will still mag feed from 2.950" mags.? If not I got a long action somewhere.
