260ai headspace gauge

Since a .243,7-08 and .308 all use the same headspace gauge I'm assuming that I can use a .243 improved 40° go gauge to set my 260ai 40° barrel up on my Savage?

From what I have read so far the correct headsapce for an AI is just .004" shorter than the parent case.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here I don't want to order something I can't use or screw up a bunch of new brass. Thanks in advance!

That will do it. And you can use the "GO" gauge for the standard chamber for the "NO-GO" in the improved chamber.

Thanks thats what I was wanting to confirm. I would hate to buy a headspace gauge and it not work,then have to buy a barrel for it to justify buying the gauge that didn't work in the first place... ;D
