Has anyone did any load development with this bullet or this bullet weight? I cant seem to find any responsible load date with load ranges one this bullet. I have for 120 GR and 125 GR but no 123's. If you know where I can find some info. or if you have any please pass it on. Thanks in advance

I used data for the 120s when I started loading for the Sierra 123. Worked just fine.

Title says 123gr Nosler, but I couldn't find that bullet listed on Nosler's site.

Anyway, I'm shooting 123's (both Hornady AMAX and Lapua Scenars) with Norma brass, Fed 210M primers and H4831sc. I used the Hodgedon data for 125gr Partition as a baseline for load development which indicates a range of 45gr to 48(c) gr. I tested both bullets from 46gr through 48gr and ended up at 46.5gr for the Scenars and 47.2 GR for the AMAX.

Barrel is a Lothar Walther, 28", 1:8 twist.

The 123 gr Laupa Scenars have been the best performers out of this rifle.

Not sure but i don't think Nosler produces a 123 gr. bullet. 120 gr. and 125 gr. is what i think they offer. Anyway, load data for 120 to 125 should be same. ..... SEMPER FI!

Farmer, how is the Super Powder loads coming. Hav not heard anything from you or others. It is a good powder for the 120-125 gr.

I still cannot get to the range to further test it but initial results are looking good. Great accuracy and velocity with no pressure. Would like to hear from you when you get around to it. ..... SEMPER FI! .....LARRY

I bought 123gr 6.5mm bullets from Midway, blems. I thought they were Sierra MK until I just got 500ct of Sierra's. So now I'm thinking they might be Noslers. The Ogive length and overall length are different from Sierra.
Sierra overall length = 1.26 Ogive = 0.682
Unknown overall lnth= 1.28 Ogive = 0.688

Anyhow, worked some loads up for my Savage .260 Criterion 1/8 twist 26". H4350 and Reloader 17 gave best groups at 44.2 gr for me. I don't have a chrony but my dope puts me at 1.6/ 1.7 mils at 450 yds. That should be around 3100-3150 fps. The H4350 is just a little slower holding .1 mil lower at that range. Previously all my loads were with 140's but they dope on the 123's just beats it. Any help on the mystery bullets I got would be great, thanks.

Custom 260 Rem - http://www.thestalkingdirectory.co.uk/gallery/member-galleries/p2948-remington-700-sa-in-260-rem.html only shot with the moderator on.

123gr A-Max with 44.85gr N160, Nosler brass, CCI 200 primers.
123gr A-Max with 46.5gr RL-19, Remington brass, CCI 200 primers.

This rifle is throated long, so work up to these numbers.

I have some 123 gr Scenars in the cupboard, but ran out of time.

Regards JCS

I run the 123 Scenars mostly: Brass: Nosler, Lapua
Primer: BR2
Powder: IMR 4530 44.8 grns
Bullet: 123 Scenar
Have also used 47.0 RL19, plenty of speed, but accuracey suffers. The 123 Seirras and Noslers have been loaded to the same spec's with little to no change in powder charge. The Scenars just stay together better.
