260 REM wont shoot

I had good results in the 260rem using H4831sc and Hornady 123gr Amax and Nosler brass and Fed 210match primers. My rifle was a Savage model 12 26" barrel

farmer 44, Try 123gr lapua scenars + around 44grs of H4350, 0005 - 20 thou off the lands, I have tried most other combinations but keep coming back to this one, I have two different barrels on my 260, one a 32 inch 1-8 twist, and the last barrel 26 inch 1-8.5 twist, same load combination comes out best, as a last resort get someone else to shoot your rifle, I did this once and was supprised how accurate my rifle could be in the hands of a younger and better shot than I, Good luck, dooley

IMR 4895 shot the best in a 260 I had years ago. Of course, IMR 4895 seemed to shoot very well in any caliber I have tested.

I am presently testing the 120 gr. A-Max bullet with Superformance powder and the combination is astounding in accuracy and speed. If you want to give it a try, PM me and i will give you what i have.

123 A-Max's are shootin' 0.5 MOA from my Rem600 w/Shilen #3 using H4350 and Tula LR primers. Nosler CC's were shootin' smaller, though. This is just my hunting gun so I'm not putting so many rounds thru it.
