260 brass vs 308 brass necked to 6.5 which = 260 brass....

Check the case trim length before making any assumptions.
6.5-08=2.005"
260 Rem=2.025"

Of course the 260 was designed off the 308 case but as stated above, there are slightly different dimensions but overall the capacity is virtually the same.
