260 Rem reamer advice needed.

I can get a PTG floating pilot "match" reamer for a 260 rem project. My question is will this reamer allow me to keep 140/142 SMK's in the Rem 700 s/a mag box and still reach the lands?

Based on a very slightly improved design I just had a reamer ground for,No.... not even close.

Doubt it, the match reamers are usually dimensioned to keep the 142s in the neck and not down in the body of the case.

I just had a .260 built by thundervalley precision using terry cross's reamer I believe and it is perfect. When I seat my bullets to kiss the lands I still can put them in the magazine and it functions perfect. It is the surgeon short action. I dont know exactly how much different it is from a stock M700 though.

Thanks for the info guys. I just went ahead and ordered a reamer set up for what I wanted from PTG.
