260 rem primer

G'day all I'm about to buy some Peterson brass for my Tikka tac A1 in 260 Remington question I have is I'm considering small primer cases the load i will be using is with h4350 do I need a cci450 primer or will the standard cci 400 work projectile is Hornady eldm 130g .
Question 2 is in my lapua brass I would like to use the burger 140 grain vld with H4831 my standard go to primer for this is a cci 250 but that is with larger cases using 65 + grains of powder do I really need a Magnum primer in a 308 size case .

Cheers D

The SRP work well in both my 260AI & 243 AI. I have tried the CCI BR-4 & recently the CCI 400 as well. Both seem to be fine.

Using a magnum primer in .308 is not needed but can be good in some loads.

I use Rem 7-1/2 in my srp 260AI brass, 205M in LRP 260AI brass, never a problem. Drop down about 1 grain when switching from Lapua to Peterson and work back up. My final load difference was about 0.4gr less in Peterson vs Lapua.
