260 rem oacl

I have a Savage 10fp with a Shilen 260rem barrel,26" 1x8 4c.I also have aquired some Lapua 123 scenar's. I can load them to a max oacl of 2.850" which will be just shy of the rifling.Anyone have any advice on oacl for this bullet?

My rifle likes them jammed, but you never know. Load to your max and give it a go. For most disciplines loading single shot is fine, so it that doesn't work just seat them out.

I guess my concern is if I jam them there won't be much bullet left in the case?

I am loading the Lapuas to 2.904" in mine. With a Shilen bbl, it is going to depend how your chamber is cut.

That is with the 123 scenars?
