260 rem Lead free bullets?

Hey all, been getting into predator hunting and have to use lead free.. My barrel is 8:4 twist and wanted to see if anyone had a recommend lead free bullet you have had success with a similar twist?

One way to do it is to go on on the Hammer bullets web site and look
up the "Hunters". Each bullet has a break down and minimum required
twist rates. They also have an open forum to engage in, and load data.
You also have a buying option to just get a few samples.......Success wise ??
I'm using them but for another reason.

I'll re-enforce the golden rule that being confident in your back stop can be especially important with the application the op is looking to impliment, Any lead free .264 caliber bullet that I can think of is likely to be a recipe for full penetration & considerable potential for considerable energy traveling further down range. ricochet potential being quite high with the all copper bullets.

While I don't fully know the ops situation, an alternate caliber choice may have its merits with ricochet considerations in mind. may I recomend looking into a 22 caliber rifle, to sling the NTX offerings?

I have gotten the 124 grain Hammer Hunters to shoot very well in a 260AI with an 8 twist. I will try the 131’s but they strongly recommend a 7.5 for those. I’ve been ordering the 7.5 barrel for any new builds.

I ran those thru my calculator and they are on the bleeding edge of
stability with the 8 twisters. And I assumed you could safely hit 2800.

With the 124gr in an 8 twist they are running 3050 to 3150 depending on the rifle. The 131’s in a 7.5T ran 2980 in the one I just finished. To get there you need to bush the bolt in a Remington 700.

Thank you all for your help. I picked up Hornady 130gr. CX hunting bullets. Any chance does anyone have Rem 260 load data for these H4831sc or know where all the cool kids are getting load data online these days? =)

For a small fee I expect Hornady has an APP for that or perhaps better yet, reach out to Hornady tech support & see what they may recommend.

Reached out to Hornady on load data and they replied
"We do have data listed for CX bullets in the new manual. We do not have data for the 130gr CX bullet and the 260 Remington cartridge"
So going to start with the min load for the Barns bullet:
