260 Rem H4350 vs IMR 4451

My 260 is the improved version with 30* shoulder - otherwise same as 260AI. Not being able to find 8lb jugs of H4350, I've used IMR 4350 & IMR4451. 4451 is at least as insensitive to temp changes as Varget, and typically gives a little higher velocities than IMR4350. Accuracy with 139-142gr bullets has on the average been better with 4451 than 4350. So aside from the higher price for the Enduron line of powders, I can see no reason not to use 4451 vs IMR4350. I've found the same to be true when comparing IMR 4350/4451 in my custom 6x47L, 6XC, 6.5x47 rifles. so have for the most part made it my default powder in all four of my competition rifles.

Would anyone know an accurate 4451 burn rate factor to input into Quickload? I am going to work up loads for a 6.5 Creed to compare to H4350 and 100V hybrid. It seems from internet musings that most are loading with nearly the same grain loading as 4350. Is this your finding flatlander?

Hodgdon burn rate chart puts 4451 right between H4350 and IMR 4350. They are all Hodgdon powders so they should have the right info. Take a look at their numbers.

This may sound weird
I have used H4350 in 308 with good success but when I tried 4451, the copper cleaning compound(or unburnt powder, not sure) ends up in throat and I can't chamber next round till throat is swabbed out. This happened multiple times during load development. It gave good velocity without compression that I get from H4350 but I can't put up with malfunction of gun and cleaning chamber throat every few rounds.
BTW I have 0.3085" throat.

Yes it is - at least in my rifle.
