260 AR DPMS Question

I`am thinking about buying a DPMS 260 to shoot 200 to 600 yard groundhog targets and prairie dogs.Anyone have thoughts on this idea? My 223 is quite accurate up to 300 yards but it doesn`t do well in the wind at longer ranges.DPMS markets a 260 with a 22in.SS heavy barrel that I think would do a good job. Where are you seeing an option for a 22 in barrel? I am only aware of the 18" light barrel, the 20" heavy barrel and the 24" bull barrel.

Other than that, these are a terrific option for what you are looking for. I built one with the 24" barrel and it is a hammer.
