260 AI Ring Die

You need to cut off, or drill out any portion that would stop your case from passing through. The ones I’ve done are not hardened, so as long as you don’t touch the carbide, they cut easily.

You’ll also need to make a pusher, to put in/on your shell holder, to push the case through the die.

Or get a pbike ring die for a 308 sized case from @Uthink Uknow or send your brass to whidden and get a proper die made
Thank you ill send him a message.

I currently have a Whidden custom die made from my reamer print. My .200 line on my reamer is 0.4696" and after sizing my brass with a 0.002" shoulder bump I size the brass base down to around 0.468-0.4685".

Im unsure if thats enough clearance? In a 10 shot string I might get 1 or 2 bolt lifts that feel like a minor clicker. I must add that I need to have a smith go over my trigger timing with my action as the bolt lift feels notchy compared to my Fathers action of same make and same model trigger.

I’ll see if I can come up with a picture. If you use it with a shell holder, you won’t size any lower on the case than with any other die. If you use it with a pusher, the case goes clear through the die, and pops out the top.

maybe a useful cheap pusher idea, I may have to try this Idea for my 308 bolt rifle, maybe I'll keep it if so

these come in different diameters also

Could you show a picture of this cut off die

An older model RCBS 45acp die is clear enough when gutted to push rifle brass through. I found one on ebay for cheap. I also have a custom made ring die in a .001" different size.
