260-143 ELDX-H4350

So, I was running the latest of my loads across the magnetospeed yesterday, and had some interesting findings. My load right now is 45.6gr H4350 in Rem brass with CCI BR2 primers. I load to mag length of 2.80in which gives me light compression of the powder. Running this load through a 22" criterion barrel with Silencerco omega supp, I was getting 2850fps with SD 4 and ES 9. I looked at the data and I'm 1gr over Hodgdon max, but have no apparent ill effects on brass or rifle. Primers are still lightly rounded, bolt lift is easy with no stick. So, anyone else run a 260 like this or am I in uncharted territory. this load will hold .5" pretty easy, so I'm happy.

Seems like a bit on the high side in terms of powder weight i.e. 45.6 gr of H4350 and 142gr ELDX.

I shoot 140gr Berger Hybrids out of my 26" Bartlein 260 barrel at 2,865 fps with Lapua brass/Tula LR primers and 43.3 gr of H4350.

The MV is not unreasonable since you only have a 22" barrel but powder wise you are 2.3 grains higher than me...

Yeah, kinda what i was thinking. i was using 46gr H4831sc to get 2700fps, but tried the H4350 to try to pick up some fps. I guess I accomplished that. I'll continue to monitor the load, I shoot at sea level in Anchorage and it was about 45F yesterday. If i hunt with this load the max temp it'll encounter is probably 65F, most likely less.
