260 rem 130gr bullets.

I see alot of guys are running 140's in there 260 rem. I want to run 130 berger hybrids because i have a ton of them. There is so much conflicting data on starting points with H4350. Were are you finding is a good range? Im running lapua brass and br2 primers. what kind of velocities are you seeing?

If you are talking about the Berger 130 AR Hybrid, and depending on chamber, barrel length, etc., you can likely hit 2900+ fps with it. I run 2940 in a 26" barrel with .115 fb. It has a short bearing surface and will fly. I have run them faster. It shoots better in my barrel at 2940.

All the usual disclaimers: free bore, barrel length, powder lot variation, work it up, watch for pressure, etc.

I am running 26" 1-8, 4 groove Hawk Hill, .115 fb, Lapua brass. Sounds like we have pretty similar rigs.

I loaded some up and at 43grs its a compressed load. How far off the lands are you seating yours.

Sounds like something is different between our setups. This is why it is hard to share loads online.

You pretty confident in your freebore dimension?

I agree with DocXX. I've got an almost identical set-up (.110 freebore) and am running a little more than your 43gr H4350, and still have room left. My velocities were right in that 2940 area too. Great bullet for the 260.

A max load of Re 17 gets me 3010 fps, with a 129 Hornady from my 24-inch barrel.

Bullet seating depth testing may not be necessary with the 6.5 130gr AR/OTM bullet.

This bullet and our CLASSIC HUNTER bullets were designed to be used at the published magazine length of the cartridge you are loading for. In most cases you just seat the bullet to magazine length and work the load up to find your highest velocity accuracy node.

I found a load. I tried diffrent seating depths and no difference in accuracy. Just have to see how it does on game.
