25cal High BC for 257 Weatherby?

Would you send a guy 3-5 bullets to get a reamer made?
I could see myself shooting these in an XC or X47 case.

I can send out a bullet or two for dummy rounds but we offer Manson and JGS reamers in 25x47 Lapua and 25 Creedmoor setup for our bullet in the webstore at https://blackjackbullets.com/product-category/chambering-reamers/?v=7516fd43adaa

0.289" neck ensures plenty of clearance for Lapua x47 brass and nearly every time of Creedmoor brass on the market. The only brass we know of that will be close or tight is VERY EARLY Alpha 6.5 Creedmoor brass from a few years ago but the majority of Alpha 6.5 Creed production will work just fine.

The Manson reamers are in-stock and ready to ship. The JGS will be shipping in a matter of days.

The 25x47L is an efficient little beast with our 131 ACE.

It appears they want you to order from them, to include the reamers. I tried to get some info about the bullets, jacket lengths, and such, and received a… we can't do that.

Edit: I won't buy a pig in a poke.

As we discussed in the email I will provide anyone with the information to get equipped and shooting. We will not be providing information regarding jacket length and other critical performance and production dimensions until we achieve a good foothold in the market with our two bullets the 131 ACE and HTR later this year. We are a small company with a lot of $$$ and energy invested in this project and must protect our IP from various forms of competition.

:p The neck diameter on my 25BR and 25x47 reamers are no turn 0.285. Again, more than ample clearance. Until I get answers, my money stays in my pocket. Perhaps sometime down the road we'll read unbiased reviews from actual testing.

JRS what Actual Testing are you looking for? We've tested the bullets over the best BC testing equipment we could achieve access to and the bullets shoot great at 1000 and 1200 yds.

As far as unbiased reviews, I understand your POV, but we've merely reported our testing AS-IS showing actual results.

Soon enough there will be some heavy-hitters in the PRS matches and some pretty talented target shooters running these - it won't take long for "actual testing" to earn some trophies in competition. I've been working on sponsoring some top guys in Target disciplines to show what the 131 ACE performance will do but many are tied to 284's although the 131 ACE pushed out of a little Creedmoor case can replicate the ballistics of a 284 + 180 grain Hybrids in only a 26" barrel. : ) We have not pushed a 25x47 to 2985 fps (284 + 180 equivalent ballistics) but we had zero pressure signs at 2950 fps in 26" using H4350. : )

We're very proud of our efforts from R&D, Testing, and up through production. We're offering a very high performance bullet at very reasonable costs and have invested a lot in barrels and reamers to get 25 Caliber back on the map.

We definitely understand there will be early adopters who support our efforts and trust the validity of our info and late adopters that will need to see others' performance gains firsthand. It's the same with anything new-to-market. We know we have a little mountain to climb addressing the lack of options in 25 Caliber, overcoming a bit of superstition many have about 25 Cal, and achieving market confidence but honestly the confidence and early support is much better than we hoped and expected.

There will even be a MFG producing loaded ammunition in August. : )

You should list the twist rates youve proven in competition that work with your bullets as im sure a new barrel is in order for most to use your new vld

The recommended twist rates are shown in the posts above and various places on our website and facebook page. A new barrel is most definitely required but regarding the bullet as a "VLD" - while it is a very efficient design it is also what people call a "Hybrid"/ "Compound"/ "Blended" Ogive design just to be clear.

Thanks for the candid, informative reply. MYbe after you get established you will make some 10tw .25 bullets.

Take JLK out. Recently, they told me the jackets were too expensive.
That isn't surprising. It appears the J4 25 caliber jackets are available in one length only. 1.125 (long enough for a 110 Gr target bullet) and are $1310.00 per 4800:eek:
