I built one of these a couple years ago, zero regrets. I can use my 6.5x47 sizing dies with bushings and Alex made a seater for me. Very accurate With BIB 110s. I’ve also had a 250 savage improved, wonderful cartridge and I like the fact that not everyone has one.

I've been debating the 25GT route.

Still looking for new 25 caliber bullets from anyone.
Looks like it's still the 131gr BlackJack, 115gr Berger VLD, or the 110gr ELDX.

The 115gr VLD is an excellent game bullet!

I've heard of a few using 257 Roberts for F-Class, but that was a little older thread.
I keep getting told to shoot what everyone else is shooting.
But i'm not that guy...

The 110 Bib is the other option for the .257. Offers a .520 BC and by all accounts from shooters using it, very very accurate bullet and kills as well as it shoots. Unfortunately they do not have any in stock currently.

Not in stock and notes that it’s unavailable until further notice. I hope that’s a component issue, like waiting on jackets, I’d hate to see that one go bye bye, I still have 300+ but I hope I can get more.

I like the 257 bob. I kinda wanted the AI but for my purposes the reg bob was fine.

Savage short action can fit oal of 2.97. Factory bob chamber will hit lands with a 117 gr hornady way before that. Want to try the bergers tho.
