PLEASE READ 2500+ Scam Gun Websites and New CC Scam

This is VERY IMPORTANT information.

NEW THREAT by SCAM SITES

A web security company has identified over 2500 scam gun/reloading supplies websites. These are run by criminals out to steal your money.

There is a NEW and dangerous feature in some of these scam sites -- a fake link to Mastercard or Visa for payment.

The scammers use this to try to fool you into thinking the site is valid (since it has at least one major credit card listed). The site will allow you to type in your CC information (CC number, Expiration date, 3-digit code etc.) After you fill in the info the site states "Your Credit card is not working, please use Zelle or CashApp".

But they have stolen your CC info!! The bad guys may then use your card to pay for their own site expenses and buy items on the web. And/or they may sell the CC information to other criminals. You can help reduce risks by having CC text alerts on your phone.

We still note that you can use four steps to reveal a scam gun/ammo/components website.

1. The site allows you to add massive quantities of hard-to-find components, such as 1000 pounds of Varget.

2. The site does not have offer major credit cards -- only Zelle, Venmo, CashApp, PayPal F&F, and even Bitcoin. Most scam sites do not offer any major credit cards. But SEE ABOVE!

3. The site does not have a valid address, and the phone is not answered normally.

4. Gun sales without requiring a valid delivery FFL.

---------------------
Given this NEW THREAT however, we urgently state you should NEVER ever purchase from ANY site you cannot verify.

I would personally not buy from ANY vendor that does not advertise with this site or is listed in the Deals of the Week.

Do NOT give your credit card information to any site that has Zelle, CashApp, Bitcoin prominently displayed.

Bottom line, for guns, reloading components, and optics, we urge all members to stick to companies that advertise on this site and/or have large, secure sites such as MidwayUSA and Natchez. Don't take chances with unknown vendors. Over 2500 scam sites have been identified.

You can find the 2500+ scammer websites identified at StopGunScams.com .

One other problem we have found is that some sites will not not let you "zero out" any item placed in the shopping cart. This requires that you use your browser to remove the cookies from that site.

Having seen how the number of scam sites has increased by an order of magnitude and how the scams are getting more sophisticated, I urge all members to stick to the known, VERIFIED vendors.

There are so many scam sites now that you are almost certain to get scammed if you go chasing around in seach of a crazy good deal such as 5000 primers for $150.00.

PROTECT Yourself people -- the risk is greater than ever before. With this Major Credit Card Capture scam, you risk losing money even if you never actually purchase a product from the scammers. If they get your CC info, the damage is done.

Thanks again Boss for keeping us updated on the scams, John

THANKS MUCH BOSS AND ACCURATE SHOOTER!
I had one of my cards hacked about a month ago. Thankfully my Credit Card
company notified me immediately asking me to verify the purchase. I told them
I had NOT made that purchase and they immediately stopped the transaction
and cancelled my Credit Card number and sent me a new Card with new number
that took 2 days.
I now check my Credit Card account transactions more frequently
I think it's also a good idea to check Bank transactions more often also.

People need to realize the vast number of scam sites that are out there now. Many are stealing the logos and graphics right off the Manufacturers' websites. There is evidence that some of the scammers have taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from gullible clients.

I also want to stress that anyone even considering purchasing a firearm via an online vendor should call on the telephone, request the vendor's FFL license number, and then confirm the entity with the ATF licensee registry.

ATF Licensees (including lists by state): https://www.atf.gov/firearms/listing-federal-firearms-licensees

A buddy of mine was scammed, not on this site. Lost about $1,000 trying to buy hard to find primers and powder.

Thanks for the warning - never can have too many warnings.

Apparently people still are not getting it!

One Forum member just started a thread today asking about a site that was clearly a SCAM. I was able to put 1600 pounds of Reloder 16 in the shopping cart. It took me 18 seconds to determine the site was a scam. Oh and there were syntax errors and misspellings throughout that site.

C'mon people. Use your brains!! You can also look at StopGunScams.com which has identified over 2500 scam websites.

This is the from the home page of the bad site the guy was asking about -- note "HANGUNS CATERGORY" -- the scammers can't even get the spelling right. WAKE UP People!

If there is one thing I have learned in 70 years it is "If something sounds too good to be true it probably isn't true." Thanks again Boss for the heads up!

THANKS BOSS....for being on your toes about this crap!
I've run across a few now and they do offer great prices for hard to find components etc. The dead giveaway is they do not take credit cards,. Zelle Pay Apple pay etc.

If there's a list going, pretty sure you can add this one. Love the spelling errors.

The site calls itself u s a [hyphen] hunter dot com .

Stay away, it is a complete scam
