25 XC - Released Print & Reamers

I’ve had a 10 twist 257 AI for ten years. Accuracy to 500 has been mediocre at worst to inconsistent at best using various combinations of components, but generally ending by focusing on Hodgdon’s 4350 & 4831 and 100 grain SMKs.
I have followed these developments with interest. Perhaps I’ll go with another .25 caliber barrel (in .257 AI) rather than a 6.5 or 7mm. I’d love to be able to try higher BC bullets.

Please do - I would love to see what FPS and accuracy yields you see.

What freebore and leade angle is your reamer?

We have plenty of blanks arriving in the coming weeks.

Hopefully this time next year they will be some companies stocking prefits at least in the 25 Creedmoor. My Bighorn TL3 is due to ship early April. The five gunsmiths I have contacted in VA and NC all are fully booked or talking about 6-8 weeks even for a simple prefit. All want the action to fit it to so it isn't as easy as I thought it would be to get a barrel done. I've got almost 4k in components and not a bit of metal turned yet. Don't tell my wife!

I don’t own a reamer. My rifle was purchased complete. Determining reamer specs (and the cost) is a consideration that also confounds the decision-making process, among others.
